WOW! Winky! Is this really what I think I am seeing?
Awesome!
That's a very lively rough sea! superb! Di you post it on flkr? I would be surpised if you didn't...It's a full portray or several events of nature; the mountain with its pride..the clouds with its shades over the mountain and the violent sea waves...Wind surfers trying to ride the waves...
I wonder if that is Rough in the pics trying to windsurf in this "rough" sea  |

Nice pics Winky. Lol Hoss..I practiced once on seekooivlei with a newly acquired windsurfer so that I could gain experiance before trying those waves. but alas, it was blowing near gale force winds on that vlei (vlei = an inland lake in this case just off the sea). the sales(that looks wrong, the membrane presented to the wind) on my windsurfer were worn out it seems, and had to much slack in them, and I tried for an entire afternoon to get my semi sinker board to glide up over the waves under wind power. I would either get snapped up by the wind and thrown over the board, or driven under water..
I finally got so cross with the whole effort, that I dragged the whole kit out of the water, smashed the tail fin of the board off , causing a rather deep laceration in my arm, then proceeded to hurl the whole contraption into the nearest tree. Some apparent boffins nearby then commented (they had a trailor full of windsurfers still tied down) that my sail...finally Sail, that is the correct word..was too worn out for such a strong wind to have much control over it...They were possiblt watching all that time and typically were having a drink to each new disastrous encounter I had with the art of wind surfing!!!!!!..To my health of course I hope ;)
But I must say, Winky's photos almost evoke me to want to try again |

| Why don't you give it another try Rough? I would if I had the chance...It's kind of expensive here in Egypt and not so close to where I live...I have to go south to Sharm or Hurghada where I can find instructors and the windsurfs themselves...Can't afford to buy them myself  |

Instructors Hoss?, come on..the satisfaction is learning to do it without anybody elses help, unless you want to become competitive, typical male characteristic that. I will rescue thew reckage from the place where it resides on my folks small holding, and hope that it still can be salvaged , then pick a a day with a quiet wind, and try it again, if it works, I will conscider buying a decent kit.
On the other hand, I have always had a yen to climb table mountain, then jump off it and paraglide down to sandy bay(nudist colony down there dude) I remember in my youth, we went to watch hang gliders jumping of Table Mountain, and guess where their landing point was, you guesed it...Sandy bay. We (my friend, his mother and I) stood on a vantage point that overlooked Sandy bay. I noticed a naked woman and a guy on the beach, and whilst his mother looked skywards, we were looking at this woman masturbating this man, whenever his mother looked down, we both looked up, made appropriate comments about the fragility of flight or whatever, but as soon as she looked up................we riveted upon a section of Sandy bay.
But I still remember those gliders, and wondered about the freedom of flight...climb a mountain, and fly off it |

Kat...a friend of mine told me a story when he was diving for perlemoen and crayfish in a place not known for shark activity. He had dived down to the rocky formations which house the perlemoen and after about 30 seconds suddenly noticed out the corner of his eyes a dark shadow looming between the suns rays and himself. He recognized the shape of a shark and although it was not spectacularly big or anything(3 metres long he told me), it was big enough to do damage. When one is under water, one periodically releases some of the air in one's lungs as it seems to ease the bodies craving for air, but he kept dead still and kept the air in. He had a knife on him but did not want to reach for it either. the shark swam around for what seemed like an eternity and then dissappeared. That is about the only shark story I have heard in real life.
If one decides to surf around seal island, then I would be a lot more worried, especially if a seal decided to join you, the damn thing is most probably trying to get a great white off its tail by presenting your bigger looking surfboard as bait ;) |

How can you BE masturbated? I thought that was when you did it to yourself......
I think Winky changed the title bcs she wasn't happy about Roughshod lowering the tone of her topic :P |

Don't worry, poppy :smt056 This happens to me all the time..........like in kamar's topic about visiting Alexandria, GWB suddenly popped up  You just have to go with the flow........
Anyway, I bought a couple of nice candlesticks today, I really do not NEED candlesticks but I liked these a lot, they were kind of blue and white stripey with pink flowers and I got paid on Thursday, they weren't expensive so I just thought I'd have them 8) |
