I have been moved by a film that I have watched for the first time. It is a 2001 German film called "AS FAR AS MY FEET WILL CARRY ME". It is based on a book by Josef M Bauer of the same name and it is based on the true story of a German prisoner-of-war called Clemens Forell who escaped from a Siberian camp and made his way to Iran and then to Europe.
I would give this film five stars. There is so much humanity in this film and the ending is really something special - really. Nothing of Hollywood's can compare with this to me. It has English subtitles and so I could follow what they were saying.
Has anyone here read the book, or seen the film?
