hi guys, because of a study trip i'm going to go to egypt in this march, i study in germany by the way. i have to prepare some info about egypt and the task is collecting the information of "el sehemy house" (we will visit this place on the trip). i have searched this word on internet but what i've got til now is : it is a ancient house in cairo, no more. so please tell me is it generally a word used for ancient housing in egypt or is it a place, a house somewhere in cairo whose name is el-sehemy ? could you please give me some more info and pictures about this ? thank you very much.

Beit El Sehemy ( House of Sehemy) is ancient home of a Quranic scholar, which is currently being utilized as an "Atelier" for fine artists and also a place for some musical performances.
I couldn't find more info about it, but I got some pictures to post... |

well i'm not german, not even european. i'm vietnamese. i have been in germany for about 3 years, and i enjoy my life and study here :D . i like to travel alot, and i try to travel as many as possible, as long as i have time and money, you know, have to take advantage the time in germany, in europe.
but about the trip to egypt i'm not sure if i can make it, because of the high cost (it's about 2 months living cost of myself). we're supposed to have support from the university, but til now we stil have to wait for it. i hope we could make it and can't wait to see the pyramids.
ciao. |
