Saw Casino Royale tonight
It was ok
I preferred Blood Diamond
There was not a strong story line , the first part reminded me of batman with the chasing done by flying jumps onto cranes etc
the second part when I thought it would finally get interesting was a disappointment and the end was just blah
and with James Bond being in love with the leading lady it just did not feel right at all Bond used to be cool and in the past he cleverly knew when he was being cuckooed
not this time
The girl was by no means ugly but I wouldn't say she was jaw dropping stunningly beautiful
I also did not like the way she had her hair in the movie apart from when they were making love and it looked natural

Also when he got in his car he crashed it after about 6 seconds !
In the previous Bond movies this car is traditionally a spectacular machine of inventions but not this time

Now I have a problem  my friends saw the trailer of
The Last King of Scotland
http://www.foxsearchlight.com/lastkingofscotland/
Its about Uganda in the 1970 's when a Scottish doctor becomes the personal physician of Ugandan dictator Idi Amin who was insane and totally vicious
and they want to see it
Would you ?
So much violence
I think I might excuse myself and just become sick that night !

May I point out something that you perhaps have missed every so gently?
You are missing a very important thing - this movie is based on the FIRST novel about 007. a) He has just made it double 07, b) he has just got a license to kill, c) he is learning whom to trust and whom not to trust, d) his love for Vesper and her perceived betrayl yet his rescue made up his future attitude to women summed up in one sentence "the b-i-t-c-h is dead". The original novel talks about the cold war era. The girl Vesper was a Polish spy working for the KGB and she commits a suicide in the end. They obviously had a choice to either show the original plot or make the original plot contemporary. They chose the latter.

All other James Bond movies are continuation of Casino Royale instead of this movie being the continuation of the movies we have seen before with Pierce Brosnan, Connery, and all the rest...

P.s. actually the girl is a stunner and a rare beauty. Her eyes alone are worth more than the best emeralds in the world. Not to mention all other very nice assets and very good acting.
