I have just visited this park to-day...
It is truly beautiful. marble paths, waterfalls fountains, flowers shrubs and trees. All are being well looked after and the grass is so green
There are plenty of places to sit and just chill out.
The views of Cairo were so clear, the air was clean and fresh, What a change from the stuffy, sandy, rubbish filled streets we had to drive through to get to it
We had a meal in the buffet style restaurant, watching the dancing fountains and taking in the fantastic views.
100% for this Cairo, it is set in the old Islamic area of Cairo. A very run down place, but they are helping the people to re furbish their homes, and a very crumbling area is slowly being made good..
You can check it out on this link http://www.touregypt.net/featurestories/azharpark.htm
The pictures on the link save me posting my photos.... |
