My memories of the past
Still feel so new and fresh
Sometime I wonder how long it will last
Yet it still feels like that day

I’d rather not go back to that place
Time just needs to pass by a little faster.
Things just are not getting better at this pace.
Take your time, just hurry up please drift away

Look into my eyes and tell me how
the things you did the reasons why
Please I need you to say these things out loud
But instead you turn away and carry on

These feelings will just stay deep withing me
And we’ll keep playing this emotional tug-o-war.
When all I could ask is just to be set free.
Maybe then you’ll just stay away

But its to much to hope for, to much to ask
So I’ll just keep shouldering this burden
Always wearing my smiling mask
Looking out from the insides of my mind.
