:flower: When I am in need of fresh air
or exercise
or
solitude or
a walk and a talk with a friend ('s) then I go here
The wild beach just on my doorstep its 5 minutes by car
I took the pictures yesterday morning after having a brunch close by
It was extremely hot hence the haze but you can see Gibraltar very faintly through the clouds
It was Saturday thats why there are so many people on the beach but on beach days you will be mostly on your own ...
I tend to go at about 5 or 6 PM its still very hot but at least the sun will not fry you to timbers
And when I turned around ( while taking the beach photos I saw this;
You can see just a little of the road between the trees
there are lots of corktree plantations which are still being used.
If I want a lively atmosphere with lots of people and music and restaurants then there are many beaches to choose from all at a stone throw distance from me
But I prefer the Spanish not the tourist venue's 8)
This is one I was at last weekend
I went there to have lunch
this was my view 8) :
Life music
Our Beach police
I will post more if you are interested
and if I have time
 |

Thanks Hoss and kamar :)
The picture was taken in winter ...
Me running toward Gibraltar
Cadiz the oldest City in the Western world
http://www.sol.com/modulo.asp?IdProvincia=11
and according to Greek legend was founded by Hercules
It lies in the most Southern province of Andalucia
The paseo Maritimo in Cadiz ( boulevard)
The golden dome you see is from the old Cadiz Cathedral
A small Fisher man's house  They become rarer many are knocked down to be replaced with ugly apartment blocs
JEREZ DE LA FRONTERA
Image gallery from Jerez

View from El Acazar (the remains of an 11th century Moorish fortress )over Jerez de la Frontera and surrounding countryside
A visit to the bodegas

Omar Shariff was here before me
FLAMENCO
Very much reminds me of Belly dance..
Agree.. the costume less sexy but some of the girls like the one in the blue skirt dance extremely sexy, they all have their own style,
she was not beautiful but ( we all agreed  ) she oozed sex appeal
These are the best places to see Flamenco, small local restaurants
the doors were open to the street , I saw a young Spanish girl with her baby in the pram watching ( for free  )
The atmosphere was fantastic the more enthousiastic the public the more passionate the girls became
HOTEL in Jerez
It is very hot in Jerez because it lies well inland
still they managed to make an interesting garden where you could have your lunch in the shade of the trees
:) And who lives here ?? :?
She must love Africa
And what do you think is on those pictures next to my bed ?
What is the first thing I see when I open my eyes ?
When all is said and done I am afraid my heart still lies in :

:) Thanks Kamar and Alna
So you still have a bit of Spanish blood running through your veins Alna
At the moment its not such a good time to take photo's because of the heat which creates a dust haze but later after the rains it will be better
I wanted to post pictures for a long time but never got round to it
It would be fun if others did the same in around the world
I know we have a facility here in YE to do so but I have only once bothered to look in it when I was searching for Moll's Mum
and could not find it
Round the world is easier
 |
