Mubarak inaugurates refurbished Coptic Museum
:( Twice I tried to visit the Coptic Museum but found the doors closed for renovation but now its open again :D
8) This is a unique Museum it contains one of the richest collections of Coptic art in the world, did you know that the original copy of the book of Psalms, which dates back to the 3rd century AD is kept inside the Coptic Museum?

 There are many plans to make it easy for the public to get from one museum to the next "One day there will be a carriage on the Metro for the exclusive use of tourists to travel between the Egyptian Museum at Sadat Station and Mari Guirgis in Old Cairo.

| Is this part of Egyptian history more interesting to tourists or to the average Egyptian student? How do most Egyptians feel about the Copts? |

It is not more or less interesting...It's just an integral part of Egyptian history that Egyptians need to know about...I personally have been to most historical places in Egypt...during school times and on my own at other times...
Most Egyptians feel that Christians are brothers and sisters...We have co-existed for centuries and centuries...In school, I never really felt the difference, unless when we were separated during the religion class in school... |
