I'll be spending a day in London. Since I don't want to spend it at the airport, I would like to visit a bit of London. I found this. Anyone knows about this?

I think those sightseeing bus tours are a great way to see a city if you've only got a few hours, ageperfect 8)
Getting really excited now? |

Really? You've heard about those tours? Or it's your own opinion? Either way, they sure look like exactly what I need.
Yes, getting REALLY excited. More and more. (OK, I'll try those smilies; let's see if I freeze again...) :smt041 :bounce: \:D/

Done a few of them in different cities, ageperfect.......they're good bcs they take you around all the major sights, and some of them you can jump off and have a proper look at something, then get on the next bus to continue the tour, or you can decide if there's something that you really want to spend time at and go back to later......
but if you've only got a few hours, you'd probably not have time to get off the bus, but at least you could say that you'd seen Buckingham Palace and the Houses of Parliament etc 8) |

| That's another question. I think I have the choice of tour. Now, since I've never been to London, what's reaaaaaaaally worth seeing? I know, I know, it depends on each person's taste but I'm wondering... |

There are different bus companies doing these tours, but I think they all go around more or less the same places, they have a kind of set route that takes in all the most famous places......
I've only done the London tour once, the first time we took our children there, and that was a long time ago :oops: |

OK I know you are working now :( but have a look at these sites later AP
http://www.bigbus.co.uk/uk/html/uk_our_tours.html
AP I too like Moll do think a hop on hop off bus is an excellent way to see a city, I often use it when I have just arrived somewhere new
I also love river cruises
you get a free one with this company ;

Another worthwhile trip is The Eye
The observation wheel rotates very slowly, it takes half an hour to do a full turn.

A capsule of The London Eye and the West End.

PS when are you leaving and how many hours have you got in London ?
You need to allow yourself plenty time to travel from the airport to the city and back
