| Because I noticed many members requested a forum for sports and in dedication of the African Cup, I made a special forum here temporarily until a decision is made whether this forum is permanent or not, based on the posting frequency of users and the opinion of others. |

Lolypop, it is for all sports, but the event that initiated it is a soccer event :) ... not only sports, but I thought it is good to include also all outdoor activities. |

I have not camped in Wadi degla but I did camp in Wadi's
I used to love it in Oman
We would go with a group, all driving land-rovers bringing food mosquito nets and stretchers
We would go what we called wadi bashing , also driving in to the desert by late afternoon we would find a stream of water in a wadi ( wadi means valley in Arabic) and set up camp barbecuing and splashing about in the stream
We would park the land rovers in such a way that we could string the mosquito netting on to them and the stretchers underneath .
Of course there was no privacy it was GROUP sleeping hahaha
The nights were magical since there was no light pollution the sky would be awash with stars .
Of course we did all the cliches of singing songs etc.
The early morning ahh :D I remember now how on the first morning I ever did this, an old man on a camel went by appearing from nowhere and going no where or so it seemed..It must have been 6 am or so ..
It was like a scene from the bible, the setting of the barren mountains all around us, the stillness of the air, no bird sounds, just the sound of his camel passing by and our quiet greetings...
Magic
never to be forgotten :D
