Why are you on Egypt related forums???
1- You are eager to learn about the Egyptian culture ( expand please...)

I missed knowing the daily Cairo gossip and last time i visited i felt out of place because everyone was talking about star academy and what was his name again, the guy who won??
I thought it would be fun to meet some Egyptians who live in Holland.

Hi Monica

I guess 1 and 3 would be right for me. When I visited Morocco a couple of years ago, I went to a forum for that country to learn a little more about it, and then decided to search for Egyptian related one, when I moved here to Egypt.

It also helps kill off time when I am working online, waiting for things etc...

I am online about 12 hours a day so it does entertain me a lot while waiting for responses and researching etc... also have to admit it kills the boredom of home alone, like jaguar....

BUT----------->>>>>> I have to admit also that Egypt forums made me meet many nice people ..that is a real plus....

It would be great to learn if people find Egyptian forums by searching for a specific FORUM like Laura did, or just bumping into them by searching under Egypt?

I was looking actually in dutch forums trying to learn meet foreigners who r learning dutch!!! and then i found forums for Egyptians..i didnot know that it was such a big business:)) but i have to admit that my first experiences were not very encouraging...well, i felt that i have stumbled in madraset el mosha3'been!!

Why I am on Egypt related forums???

Being so far away from Egypt for so long... forums give a good varied picture of how the culture in the country has changed without actually having to go there myself and conduct opinion polls on the streets of Cairo.

2)the culture... it is easier 2 learn more about it while talkin' 2 people from Egypt & all over the world... i would have never get this wonderful opportunity without this forum)

I initially came to ask a few questions about Egyptian culture, but I'm getting really attached to some of the people here. My questions may never end...

I first came on the posts to read more about my vacation destination. Looking for practical tips ie. Don't drink the tap water, and such and such info.

But I do like reading the drama that goes on here sometimes :lol:
