Just to help you get up to 100 posts, KayCee 8)
Where do you live?
I think you said you're a paramedic, is that right? What kind of accident/illness do you have to deal with most often?
Have you been to Egypt, and when are you going again?
You could answer these in 3 separate posts 8) |

Hi Kaycee,
Apart from Egypt, what is your favourite country in the world?
What do you want to do before you die?
Do you think you are still capable of being surprised?
That's another 3 posts! |

I am for the past 15 years, and 911 operator (emergency dispatcher) Most often are the prople who get too drunk  I mean, this in & of itself is not an emergency most often but I'll tell you thats the one people call for! And for accidents there is the good old car collision... ACK been on many of those. My favorite (If you can have one) Id a person that is a diabetic. For these people they are near death & all I have to do (most often) Is start an IV & give then sugar water through it & *Bang* they wake up & start talking to me!!!! :P |

 I have not been to Egypt yet, last year I was supposed to come just before Ramadan, sadly my Mother had a stroke (bleed in her brain) 1 week before I was to leave. But as soon as she is recovered enough I will be on my way!
BTW... My mother is currently living in my house with me because I refused to take her to nursing home, Im happy to report she is comming along well (although sometimes a pain in my rear!) And I have found her a lovely place to live by my brother where there is care should she need it! :D |

I am working in usa but interestingly enough I scored so high on my latest test for 911 dispatching they have picked me to learn it in another launguage  There is a *card set* we use when taking calls, almost like a script... so if you were to call & someone was having chest pains I could tell you over the phone what to do for that person until help arrives. This is world wide they have about 25 diff launguages & 35 dialects... of course my boss knows I started to learn Arabic so he signed me up for that... LoL its not easy but Im trying my best :D |

My o My what a question so many many calls.....ok from riding the ambulance... we got a call at 2am for a woman in labor with her first child we got on scene & normally a first child takes forever... I did my examination & saw the head of the baby  so this was not a normal call at all... my crew & I delevered a healthy baby girl :D All was well we were gettin ready to take new mom & baby to hospital, I had taken her medical background & found out she had 2 pregnancys before this that ended badly s0 she was excited, her husband was jumping around the room it was truly a wonderful experience!!!!! As we were on the way to the hospital she started complaining of bad labor pains again so I thought as notmal this was just the *after birth* (placenta) I exam her again & saw another head!!! She told me all though out her pregnancy she was told was just one baby but *Suprise* there were two this one a boy! :D This was truly my favorite call ever :) |
