And unfortunately I have to repeat it.
It's really good for some of the members that they are so great friends.
But is it an open forum or a private club or a chat room?
No matter what the topic is, it is full of sweet nothings. To say nothing about the fact that in the middle of the discussion some members decide to continue talking in arabic.
I dunno how I am supposed to feel welcome here, I rather feel I am bothering someone.

I couldn't have put it better myself, Flamenca.....I feel like an intruder too, since I don't know anyone here and I don't speak arabic and I can't join in the sweet nothings.

I wish Monica and The Egyptian the best of luck, I'll continue reading but I don't really see much point in posting.

You are right. This is similar to the common telephone for several persons, the familiar with each other. Others must keep silent or agree. It is desirable to constantly express enthusiasm for Monica (tellmewhy ) and Сrash.

That's not true. A word or two in arabic don't make the whole message unreadable. But addressing some members in English and some FULLY in Arabic does make me feel unwelcome.

Moon,

I do not live in Egypt. I live in the States. I have never met any of these people personally. I have gotten to know several people on a personal level through PM's and e-mails. You are new to this forum. I have been around for some time. I do not know Tellmewhy, but I have had the chance to get to know Monica and Crash. There are many people who have gotten to know them. That is why we express good feelings when we see them.

You could make friends too, if you stop attacking. But making friends takes time and effort on your part.

Good luck.

Flamenca,

It used to make me feel uncomfortable at first and since I am married for a long time to a man from the Middle East, it shouldn't. You would think that I would be used to it. hehehe Now though, I just don't read any topic where I see that it goes to Arabic. You are not going to change them. I have tried for 20 years. LOL :D :D

So why do they open a feedback section in the first place?

P.S. I am married for a long time to a man from the Middle East too by the way and believe me there is talking in arabic 'cause it's a habit and talking in arabic in order to make someone feel out of here.

I think I agree there, but tt's not the absence of the ability to improve. It's more the collective lack of interest in improvement, under the current economical and sociopolitical situation.
