I just spent a good ten minutes spilling my beans, trying to find some sort of middle ground between just ignoring all this or on the other hand, getting heated up about it. In other words, I was trying to see both sides of it and make a positive contribution.

And now I find yet ANOTHER topic's been locked.

OK, I'm just going to sit back and watch this forum become a meaningless games board, where any sort of controversy is locked, where members are treated like children with moderators saying I don't want this or I don't want that or you'll all be in trouble where anyone with an opinion is called a sh*t stirrer..........you don't want people with opinions, you want nice well behaved members (preferably Egyptian) who won't rock the boat. :evil:

I didn't say "you'll all be in trouble" :shock: :roll: I was hoping that you'd get something out of that post other than putting words in my mouth and trivialising my attempt at making this a more peaceful forum!

Do you understand the meaning of what you have just written??

It means the act or practice of deceiving or misleading somebody.

Please have a look under the section and you will see that only Raymon can moderate it, not us. :wink:

Perhaps I misunderstood then, tmw.....the meaning I got from it was that you were offering two options 1) forget any airing of opinions or 2) air your opinions and I'm out of here....in other words, an ultimatum.

Believe it or not, the post that I spent a while on, that I then found I couldn't post, WAS conciliatory and trying to find some sort of middle ground.....but now I'm really wondering if it's worth posting in anything apart from word games.

tellmewhy, weren't you the one who said something 5 minutes ago about NOT making personal remarks? You've got a real talent for moderating, I have to hand it to you.....you've made me personally feel unwelcome here, and I hardly think that comment's going to make Moon want to keep posting.

Oh my dear God....Moll, read my post again. You definitely are WAY off in your understanding. Or wait, I'll summarize my post:

My two suggested options were the following:
1) NOT do anything about the current state of affairs and continue fighting
2) DO something about it: draw up some rules INSPIRED BY US, the members, to make this a better and more peaceful forum. Can things get any more democratic??

THEN I said if people DON'T want to do anything about the current state of our fighting and bickering, then I will leave it since I wasn't enjoying myself here.
