Can someone please clarify what is considered a "typical egyptian attitude"? |

As if we're supposed to get offended when someone says "typically Egyptian?"
You're right ya Hani. It's so abstract, and that's why it's thrown in: it's up to you to decipher what it means    |

| If you were proud without the bases and are sure, that it is better than all and all is allowed to you, I understand, about what you spoke. |

Beno, I guess this person sees a certain shortcoming in the 'typical Egyptian' attitude, so she's using that in a negative light. It's such a broad spectrum as to what she could have meant. Es2alha we 2ollena 3alashan ana 3ayza a3raf el typical Egyptians beyetsarafo ezzay 3alashan ab2a a3mel kida :-P (Ask her and let us know her response, cuz I'd like to know how exactly a typical Egyptian would act)    |

I think she means that if you've got confidence in your cultural and your personal identity as an Egyptian, it shoudn't bother you. And I absolutely agree with you ya Moon ya gameela (ya moon ya beautiful) |

Beno, I'm not exactly sure what a 'typical Egyptian is'....but I wouldn't have said you're one 8)
I don't think there's any such thing as a typical anything, unless you accept stereotypes........the typical scotsman is supposed to be mean with money, permanently drunk, ready to fight with his shadow (that's the city Scot) or he's got heather coming out of his ears and never speaks to another human being if he can help it (that's the country Scot)...and neither of them are true. |

Maybe you need to describe more what happened during that converstaion so that we'd be able to understand more what she meant.
