|
|
I've just heard that the mummy believed to be Ramses I, which was returned to Egypt from Atlanta, Georgia last October, has just been transported to Luxor on Tuesday March 9th. Discovery Channel was filming at Karnak Temple, Dr. Z. Hawass and company on site.
Still looking for a complete news article, anyone see one?
This is all I've found so far Egypt Daily News |

I just can't buy wrapping a mummy in modern Egyptian flags.
It may look as if Egypt is receiving the corpse of some Egyptian soldier.
I feel sorry for the several dead Egyptians who do not enjoy that welcome when returning back to homeland.

I see your point Raymon, but the body is still that of Egyptian royalty, although not of the current Mubarak dynasty. |

| The ancient Egyptians believed that for one to exist he/she had to be burried around the Nile;otherwise your ''soul'' would not exist. This is why you often see Egyptian soliders brought from the battle field into their land of birth. |
