| Again...sorry about spamming. During Ramadan, there was this drink I tried which my friend told me was the drink everyone had during Ramadan. It's almost like a light tomato soup, with chick peas, and served hot in a cup. You have to add hot sauce to it and then you drink it. It's amazing and I would love to make that here :). Thanks Raymon for all the links! Just finished writing them in my cookbook. |

Who can resist Homms Alsham (literally Chickpeas of the Levant) especially at the Nile River ...
I am sorry I don't have the exact ingredients, but I believe this will do:
My own ingredients:
Boil for long time chickpeas in plenty of water until they are perfectly cooked … add cumin, lemon, salt, tomato sauce and add hot sauce at your choice. |
