Why do you spend so much time on YE?
Why do you come to Egypt often?
Have you ever thought of living here? If no, why? And if yes, why didn't you do it? |

Ok, just for starters:
Who knows the real you?
When did YOU really know the real you?
What was the most exciting thing you have ever done?
Have your values changed as you have matured?
If so, in what ways?
 |

hey Gogo good questions..
I spent a lot of time on YE almost for a year now for many reasons:
1- Being an Egypt lover myself..I really wanted YE to be a good Egypt oriented forum, to create an awareness of Egypt's positive sides..and also fun for Egyptians and non Egyptians to meet and make new good friends..so I dedicated many hours in the very early morning and in the evenings, as well as late at night to accomplish this. I committed to raymon..because I was very pleased and touched that he asked me..it was great! so youregypt became a part of my daily..
2- I started to get a lot of mail and a lot of good responses for my work on YE so it encouraged me a lot ( i still get many.. and it varies between nice and nasty he he)
3- My last 2 assignments were not very heavy, so I was flexible with my time
I come to Egypt often, mainly because I love being in Egypt ..truly I am an Egypt lover ..and whenever I can I am there..have been lucky to be able to go as much ..
Yes I have been thinking of at least living in Egypt half of the year .. I have a few assignments in Cairo this year, so I might be spending more time there..
I love Egypt ya gogo, and although I also love Canada because I have links that are quite strong here ..I find it so much more interesting to be in Egypt ..I have many very close childhood friends and family in Egypt and we have a great time when I am there..and now new good friends too!!
I have a very big weakness for Europe..especially Paris and Florence...so my future plan is to move between..Egypt/France/Italy and Canada!!

Dienrose...YOU!! you know the real me!!
I have a few very genuine and close friends that know me real well..
I knew the real me at a very early age when I started to rebel against everything and everyone..the teenage years I mean...and I realized I was a very demanding person...very...
I demand a lot from people that are my friends and family without necessarily asking out in the open...!! I am very intense and it does tire people in the long run!
I have done a LOT of exciting things..and the best is yet to come.. the real me is an adventurer..a risk taker...a fun loving person and mostly I adore challenges and exciting situations..
The exciting things I do are mostly spontaneous .I can decide to go have breakfast in Montreal..call a friend in the middle of the night and there we go ...do the same for dinner in London for example...when finances permit.. Plan excentric surprises for friends that come visit me from Egypt and other places.. I have to admit I always find a way to make my life very exciting, when certain circumstances permit it..
Some of the most exciting things I've also done that are work related is participating to a huge project a few years ago, that was related to Egypt and technology.. Oh yes.. and meeting the Prime Minister of Canada on a very special occasion..also related to an Egypt project 4 years ago.. and finding myself on the news he he..it was a real coincidence ..as he was shaking hands with me among many others..they picked that clip..it was cool!!
I also had a lot of fun administrating YE by the way...met a lot of wonderful people   and that was exciting too ..

hanoush you caught me still here editing my posts he he..
I have a love story with mangoes...I will tell ..zanbak ala ganbak ( you asked for it)
When i lived in Egypt we had a mango tree in the backyard..and...at the time..I was in infatuation with my neighbour.. you know the saken ossady we baheboh type of story ( translation: living near me and I love him)...he used to love mangoes himself...and he knew I liked mangoes.. as you know some mango trees are fruitful every other year..so to make a long story short..when the tree would not give..he used to go buy some mangoes and have them delivered especially for me...and I got used to that extremely wonderful taste...and thoughtful treatment of course..so mangoes are related to someone that cared a lot to go through the extent of sending me baskets full of mangoes for my pleasure!! isn't that special?? I never forgot ..mangoes are delicious! |

hani...
My favourite Ancient Egypt site is watching the Sphinx!! can you imagine if he could talk now.. what would he tell us???
I prefer Alexandria to Cairo but that is also because it is related to childhood memories..the beautiful sea..my grandmother..Smouha.. and many other fun, romantic and wonderful things...
In Cairo I like Maadi and Heliopolis... and down town...as well as the NILE...
When I was a kid I was extremely 'shaeya..a real devil.. always came home after the time I was supposed to.. and got punished..all the time.. always told the truth to all whatever it was.. and got in trouble all the time..he he.. |

About my hobbies...aside from watching Egyptian movies and mosalsalate you mean? and aside from reading and listening to music and YE? and aside from travelling and latino dancing?
Photography..mostly black and white pics..and also, I collect antiques ..going to auctions is a pleasure...
Another hobby I have that no one on YE knows is...are you ready??
Imitating people...voices and attitudes ... when in a party or in a get together I do that for entertainment ...but the people I imitate are usually good friends and they are open minded.. I accept the same treatment as a good sport! |

Manga,
Tell me what you think is the most romantic place, restaurant, site in the Cairo area and why. If a guy really wanted to impress the lady he cared about, where would that be?
