Monica wrote: Here is a question from me to you girl!!

describe in all honesty what do you want from life .... and how do you see yourself in the next 5 years..regarding:

1- marriage
2- motherhood
3- career

details ....please!!!

All I want from life is Allah's satisfaction and blessing, happiness and making a difference in people's lives.

In 5 years, I see myself ...working as hard still, making money and in love...but hopefully before all: more religious!

Marriage: No, I don't think I will be married and I hope I am wrong about that!
Motherhood: I feel that already with the kids I am teaching and even with most of the men/ boys I know...(does that sound bad? I don't mean anything actually and I hope that won't be misinterpreted pls.)
Career: Better career and much more money inshallah!

Gotta a headache?
Did ya wonder alot?
Man! who is asking here?

Ya nounou, being more religious or more SPIRITUAL????
and why no marriage? I think you can be married within one year if you want to!!
Anyone that puts her/his mind to it, in Egypt especially will... 8)

The mother of a friend of mine, ..after her husband died, let 1 year pass and then she spread the word within her circles that she wants to marry...within 3 months she was married to a prestigious widower..
She was 68 at the time and he was 72 and they are still married and happy!! and much older...It is so nice!
SEE>>>there is a way!!

Career wise it is very important to be financially independant of course, and I wish you to always have that privilege!!

and as do couples are identical , so what kind of differences u may accept ? and what kind u will reject? and what are the things that u can find and took it as a challenge to change ? are there other points that u may find and live with it? ( but truely without big wods)

BB, it 's not easy answerin' this question...coz I don't really look at it that way...here is how I think of it: if I felt somethin' special for the guy, I don't think about these points and differences that much ( it doesn't mean I neglect them..I just don't think about it at the spot) ...it's kinda weird actually...but that's how I find myself doin'! It's a whole package at the end...with gooda and bads...right?
I can change a bunch of stuff in the guy though....like: his religious ambitions, his moods, his lifestyle, ....for me, it is not a challenge, it's something we gotta do together to feel happier...
What I can't live with are the following: if he drinks, if he doesn't pray, if he doesn' approve my veil (or doesn't feel good about it), his class, his limited career ambitions....and more!
Eh tani? Well, that's it for now!

i think , the package as a whole may be good , but there may be tiny little things that may spoil this harmony , so sometimes u must take care of small details, if u find some of these details irritating u , would u give it a try fr the sake of this person , ? or u just refuse it from the very first beginning? (baring in mind it doesn't contradict with relegious or good ethics)

i agree withthis point, doing it together, but if in a certiain point , he refuses this change, will u live with it as long as it is not something related to relegion or ethics , and it may comfort him ??

Ting things I wouldn't accept include his silly sense of humor, his educational level, his IQ level, the way he eats, the way he talks (baladi or not?), ...stuff like that get on my nerves!
If the whole package is good and there is some details that I don't really like, I will give him one chance...not 2 or 3...I guess!
If he refuses to change something that I may find major, then I will do the same with him....Kinda stubborn, right! Or I will fight till he gives up and changes his mind...maybe I can tempt him, too...Yeah, I'd do that!
