Main ingredients : Beef, Mushrooms, Onions, Red Pepper
Time of preparation : 20 minutes
Time of cooking : 90 minutes
Serving : 5
Ingredients
1 kg Beef,cut into meduim sized cubes
2 Chicken Stock Cubes Fine Foods Knorr
250 g Mushrooms,sliced
1 Onion,meduim size, chopped
2-3 Spring Onions,sliced
4 tbsp Tomato Paste Fine Foods Knorr
2 tbsp Lemon Juice
3 tbsp Vegetable Oil
1/2 tbsp Flour
1 Bay Leaf
1 tbsp Sugar
Salt and Pepper
1 Red Peppers,medium cut into 1 cm squares
Directions
In a large deep pan, heat oil. Add meat and stir-fry until brown. Remove from pan and set aside. In the same pan, add chopped onion and stir until golden. Return meat to pan and add lemon juice, tomato paste, stock cubes, sugar and 2 cups water. Season with salt and pepper and stir to mix well.
Reduce heat and leave to simmer covered for 1-1 ¼ hours or until tender. Add mushrooms, pepper, green onions and bay leaf ans stir.
In a small bowl, dissolve flour in 2-3 tbsp warm water then add to pan and stir over medium heat until sauce thickens and boils. Add more water if needed. |
