I guess that most of us (Arabs) wouldn't socialize with Jewish people.
Is that coz of Religion differences and restrictions?
Or is it a political animosity?
Would you ever befriend them?
Would a Jew qualify to be a real friend? |

Good afternnon SM...
Maybe you are not aware that Egyptian Jews lived in Egypt for many many years in great harmony with Egyptian Muslims and Christians.
Many Jewish Egyptians and Muslim Egyptians and Christian Egyptians were childhood friends going to the same schools and the same club and the same beaches...and the same neighborhood.
There are Jewish Egyptians living all over the world and they still REUNITE with their Muslim and Chritian Egyptian friends from the good old days, and keep in touch...
A lot of Alexandrians too.
In Montreal there is a few reunions of Egyptian Friends of all religions every 2 years...Originally from excellent Private Schools in Egypt namely: 'Les Jesuites'..'St Marc' in Alexandria ..Mére de Dieu in Alexandria ...Notre dame de Sion...Lycée Français...etc...
They come from all over the world..same in New York..etc..etc...
Also the Jews that are not Egyptians that wE meet around the world through our business assignments when travelling are as North American or as European as the rest of the North American and Europeans that we encounter through business assignments, that are Christians or Muslims.
Friends can be friends regardless of political and religious differences.
Being a MUSLIMAH myself...personally I do not JUDGE people because of their RELIGION ...if I would, then I would NOT be a REAL MUSLIMAH.

I come from a country with a very bad history of discrimination.......... APARTHEID......................Thank God, we had someone like NELSON MANDELA my hero, who lead our country to peace, regardless of race, or religion. Many countries could take a leaf out of our book on the road to reconciliation of tolerance and acceptance irrespective of one's race or religion. We are a shinning example to all. :lol: :lol: |

| My best friend is a muslim :D . And my other best friend also :lol: . And most of ppl I socialize with. And my 2 best coworkers. All of them practicing. Oh yeah, my husband too (ethnical). :P |

Good Jews are just as good as good Moslems.... the link between Moslems and Jews is religiously stronger than with Christians (in technical traditions).. My best friend is Christian.
The 3 are Good, Nasty, civil and Fanatics. |

Yes and why ever not... they are as good as any muslim or christan?
Mixing religion with politics is why we have reached this state we are in today.

It's hard to compare as long as I am not a practicing judaist, so I am exactly like any other Russian in the main terms. My Egyptian friends are on the contrary proud Masriyeen and Moslems. They have no problem at all with my origin, though they admit that they have never talked to me in the first place should I be Israeli. |
