Great...

I shall start and the others will probably drop in later..

When you first first landed in Egypt...did you ever think you would be actually making it your home one day? and why?

Do you have any regrets at all not being in the UK? Like missing a particular food...or missing family and friends or some of the places of your childhood?

Do you remember your first Crush???? In Egypt it is usually..the neighbour... would you mind telling us...?

My question is a bit serious..sorry!
I donot know if you would agree with me or not, but i am assuming that the education in Luxour is not as advanced as in the UK...
Would you consider at one point going back to UK (or sending your daughter alone) to give her a better chance of education ?
or in other words, donot u feel that your daughter will be missing something if she does not follow a more advanced educational system ?

Gosh you are right I must send her back to the UK immediately so she can learn about drugs, sex, foul language, disrespect, materialism, commercialism, aids, std's immediately. After all that is what her peers in the UK are learning. Next year it will be pregnancy and she shouldn't miss that should she.

Tell me what is advanced about UK schools at the moment?

First crush - Karnak temple, cried when I first stood there. Got even more emotional over the sound and light

Talked about moving to Egypt to live from age of 12/13 onwards. Mum and Dad always told me to sell their house and go and live in Egypt until the money ran out. Seemed an impossible dream then.

First came here in 1979, couldn't believe it, everything i wanted and more. Loved it more and more with each passing year, holiday, husband

No regrets about the UK apart from a few sillies but having guests coming out here all the time am able to get those, crunchy peanut butter, weetabix, marmite, red hair dye.

OK I can reply to a guest coming over who asks what I would like to bring me hair dye or I can make a 9 hour train journey to Cairo. Now which is your choice
