Hello Poppy,
It's really interesting to see that you came back posting on YE. You probably do not know me, but I know you from your posts...I happen to share something with Harrison ( Hello Harrison :smt039 ) which is being curious to know your thoughts and experience with Montreal or Canada as a whole...I am asking because I have know of some opinions about Canada as a whole, from a short personal experience and from friends who have applied for immigration and did not go on with it...
Now Hoss, you DO have me intrigued! Tell me more about this horrendous City! That I mistakenly stumbled upon, albeit TEMPORARILY Inshallah. |

Hi to you too Hoss. Long time!
Poppy yes do let me know your thoughts, I really would be interested.
Oh I am melting today, the air-con isn't working in the office. Don't know what I am going to be like in July/August/September. |

You know its humid here in Montreal today Harrison. But its been dark all day, like, night with a veil of black clouds.
And torrential rain on and off, the freaky storm has knocked out the power in all my local shops!
Some, like the Dollar Store was operating in the dark! So customers like myself, had to scuttle along dark isles. Straining our eyes in the darkness and closely scrutinizing the goods! It was crazy!
I'm sure he upped the prices and exploited us too! |

The electricity was off in our apartment for 5 hours yesterday! Mr. C phoned me to say he was melting. That is one of the down sides to Egypt, I just thank heavens I don't have an electric cooker, at least we can still have tea/coffee by using the gas.
It is cooler today with a breeze, I am sitting at my desk looking out seeing the flowers gently waving. Oh it is nice. |

Ah! yes I remember those intermittent power cuts in Egypt well. I was living in Mokattam in the mountains at the time. The sporadic electric co-incided with regular water cuts as well!
Dispite this, life was sweet and water was stored in bottles everywhere there was space to do so! And candles where first on the shopping list!
You have a nice breeze, sounds great! What part of Egypt are you in? |

| I've been to Hurghada - 10 years ago! Where does the time go? I'm not into water sports etc. (I can't swim!) and I was a bit bored! Fortunately, we were staying in a hotel right in the town so managed to get out and see a bit but I'm not in any hurry to go back there. |

Hi Poppy, I am in Hurghada. It is the company's birthday party next week so off to Mahmaya Island we go.
I am definitely going to the beach on Sunday, need to de-stress badly
Ruby Slippers - Shame but Hurghada has changed a lot. 10 years ago I remember that the Souk in Sheraton Road had been built was just an empty shell. Still different strokes as they say! |
