I'll be so glad when that Bush person is no longer President. I'm voting for Obama.

I'll never vote for a REpublican, war mongers that they are.

I expect McCain to win.

I can't believe that the White America will get rid of its colored prejudice at the voting centers. Of course I wish if they do forget that subsurface prejudice and be rational on their choice. We will see, anyway.

I think the GOP leaders are working hard to find a skeleton in Obama's wardrobe. Everyone has a skeleton in his/her wardrobe, Obama should not be an exception.

Change?

Don't expect much to be done as Change.
My own personal judgement, could be correct or wrong. We will see what Obama will do if elected.

Nope I think it will be OBama. McCain is an old dude. Nobody wants another Bush. IT will be the Democrats this time.

In Sora of our Holy Quran titled Joseph:

" and she was about to succeed in seducing him, and he was about to respond to her attempts, but Behold, at the last phemtosecond he saw signs from God to make him Stop before he commit a sin with his Master's wife. "

See Safron, even Joseph had a skeleton in his wardrobe but the Scripts made it unhidden/exposed to everyone.

I had my foolish wrong-doings in my younger years which I consider it as my skeleton,
who didn't play doctor and patient with a girl that he had a crush on? some play that game in different versions than doctor/patient but there was a game anyway.

Last Friday, I & 2 former classmates of the college years in Alex University (1965-1969), one of them a Coptic Egyptian, had a reunion. The 2 are retired general managers as I am. I invited them to spend a day with me at my summer Challet at Palm Beach west of Alex. I picked them up as they got to Alex railway station as both of them live in Tanta (middle of the Nile's Delta).

After swimming then having a dinner at the sea resort's 5 stars hotel's restaurant, we had a table at the edge of the hotel's swimming pool, they drank hot tea as most of the Egyptians do after their meals, I drank pepsi can. Then we had a chat about our younger years;

we talked about our 1 st love
that everyone could (not should this time) have his/her 1 st love
so; each one of us said something about his 1 st love
I talked about my own 1 st love which began as a child
and how it is still in my heart although I consider myself having affection to DW, or passionately bonded to DW.
I told them that whenever I get with that 1 st love in an arms distance in our social events
I am again that adolescent person and talk with her same way as I used to when we were kids and her hubby noticing, I just love to be natural and my talk with her in a kiddy style,
I even begin with greeting her with Hi Yossira as she looks as Yossira lookalike (famous movie/tv Egy actress) and say something admiring her knocking beauty!

and I think that DW sense that she was the one before her.

Isn't this a "skeleton" as far as my 23+ yrs old marriage is concerned?

it is easy to find a skeleton in many people's closets...especially when people run for a political position. if they cannot find, they would make one or stretch a situation out of proportion putting a person on the defensive. If a person keeps defending it is an automatic admission of a fact - that is all they want. The rest will be judged by constituency. many would not look deep into a situation and remember that the person admitted and then all the facts which were originally blown out of proportion... as a result that person is pretty much effectively framed by the opposite side. art of politics

Looks like under Obama, I'd have to pay more taxes. I would travel the world and stay in places with more favorable tax regimes...I have no political beliefs, but mere interests. Sorry...

What do you mean, Ricky.......'too much "left"?

Isn't ANYTHING better than the 'too much right' that's there already?

In America, "far right" is "too Republican" and "far left" is "too Democratic"...

That is the problem from far right to far left? Bush Junior really screwed up things but socialists coming to power is not the best alternative either.

I would have preferred Hillary out of three choices: McCain (Rep), Obama (dem) and Hillbillary. She is more centrist in her views...however, many find her too left as well. For me she is more centrist. I prefer a happy medium

I do not like Obama's statements on taxes. I am ok with reversing inheritance taxes etc, but increasing income tax... - no.

women would get to see Bill again  - another positive thing...too bad Hillary is not going to be US President this time.

Hillary is by far one of the smartest women in the world in our time. She is also groomed in politics and international scene. Her husband was so well received everywhere, and it is his merit but it is also hers as she was actively involved in his presidency. She would have done great.

to be honest, I am more concerned about what is left in my pocket vs. the world at large     ...and so are most of you. let us just not be hypocritical about it. What would you choose "foreign policy" over potentially 10% more in taxes? just be real before you say you would prefer "foreign policy"...none of us are 16 years old or/and members of Peace Corps, are we?

No, Ricky..........I'm DEFINITELY not 16 years old and a member of the Peace Corps

But maybe it's an age thing, you get to a time in your life when you start thinking about what life's going to be like for your children and your grandchildren (not that I have any grandchildren at the moment, but maybe one day..) and you have to accept that 'foreign policy' makes a difference to the future of the world in the long term and if the world's up in arms, it really doesn't matter what you have in your pocket.
