I think this shows how mixed up this country is about nudity...
In Scotland, there is apparently going to be new legislation that cigarettes are to be 'under the counter' in shops and not on display, meanwhile p o r n mags will be sitting there in full view for any 5 year old to see
And in a museum in Manchester, a 2500 year old naked Egyptian mummy has been wrapped up in a blanket so that nobody's offended, so people are supposed to come to the museum and go Ohhhh and Ahhhh at a blanket
Stupid  |

Maybe it's because of the liberal attitude over there. Just my thoughts on the subject. |

Liberal about some things, crazy political correctness about other things and nothing much in between :?
Sometimes I go into the shop for my paper and I'm scared to look at the top shelf in case I see something that makes my eyes pop out  and any child can see the same as I can.....
I have to say though, I've never actually seen anyone buying a p o r n mag :? but I guess somebody must buy them, or they wouldn't stock them. |

I'm surprised that p o r n magazines aren't out of fashion by now...everywhere. With all of the p o r n online, who needs to go buy a magazine? Unless men use the pics to tack up on their walls at home... |

I'm sure the p o r n mags are pretty tame compared to what you can see on the internet......... not that I've ever looked at p o r n on the internet except the times I've put something into Google like 'grannies' or 'women's underwear' or something, can't remember now, just trying to find pics but got a lot more than I was looking for
And if that's just the sort of mainstream p o r n then God knows what the specialist stuff is like....
I just hate to see it all in your face where children can also see it, at least on the internet parents have some sort of blocking control but kids going into a paper shop to buy a sweetie, and there it is...
Once when I was about 8 or something, we found 'naturist' pics lying in the road (that was about as p o r n as it got in those days, pics of nudist beaches) and oh God, it was the first time I'd ever seen a man's 'bits' :P  Quite put me off....... |

| I think that kids can see nudity in public anyway..how about beaches where people wear exposing or bikini bathing suits? As for the "bits", I think that with PCs *beep* can be stored on media as small as a CD or a memory stick...So it all depends on how willing the kids might be to watch *beep* |

Hoss, I was brought up in a strict religious environment and I remember in high school that a chap had got a poster of a full frontal nude and of course we as guys were quite interested in seeing it. In a torrent of a stream we all gathered around it like pirhana fish about to devour its prey and suddenly after my first glimpse I drew my eyes away from it and wondered what good it would do me. And ever since I have wondered what good it would do me. I was so phyced by the church against sex that the only time I enjoy doing it is if it is wrong :(
Before I was married, sex was great, after marriage it seemed to impose a burden upon me of wrongness?
can anybody explain that to me? |

I think there is an irresistible pleasure, except by the ones who exert self control, in having extramarital intimate relationships without any kind of commitment..Commitment always create worries and obligations, which can be a turn off for many males or females alike... |

You explained it yourself, you were indoctrinated to think that sex was 'bad' and it's the old forbidden fruit thing...
Children DO see nudity and everything else these days  but it's just the exploitation of those mags, the message they get that it's OK for women to sell themselves like that..
Sometimes I'm not sure who's being exploited though, the women or the men who buy them :? |

There was a cataclysm of thoughts in my mind reading Hoss and your response Moll..
My father had my youth leader at the time to take me in private to explain to me that sex was not bad. I had to explain back to him that if sex before marriage is bad, so is kissing before marriage because it will open the door to sexual suggestion. Holding hands will lead to sexual suggestion...our bodies are designed to do that....so if the church wants to preach against sexual activity before marriage, they cannot even allow the ideA OF BOYFRIEND AND GIRlfriend, since this is designed to end up in sexual copulation by God Himself.
My youth leader did not seem to know what to say to this. Anyway...I really tried to stick with the impossible program starting to feel like an alien wearing an imposibly randy body trying not to get out of control and sin.
But I took the plunge, it was calculated...she could be good wife, so lets just do it and all....and I got married to the first person I ever had sex with. Was it love?...She is a nice person to some degree, but we got married because we enjoyed having sex with each other...though she will say that she felt a responsibility to start a family with a worthy suitor that could quite likely support our offspring.(in her subconscious) she wanted to get out of home and start living her own life is more of a reality.
Nudity...It is a form of persuasion built in us to make sure we propogate our species......................but the way it is being displayed without virtue of any kind in my opinion making us irresponsible in the value we place in propogating our species. animals are ruled by seasons when there body's prepare to propogate. Human beings do it for pleasure, not to have children within season, but to enjoy each others body and Human kind decide too when they actually want to bear children as fruit from their carnality. (well mistakes happen too in the name of pleasure)
Nudity is a perversion I think in public form. Is it art? They say window shopping is ok if you go home and practice your buying power there instead.
What does the showing of nudity achieve?...that your wife's body is not as good as somebody elses body that you see in 'art'?...Is it beautiful to see sexy curves....damn sure it is, but how does it help one's wife look like that...how does it help in understanding beauty, which is not physical, but rather of personality and character?
Displayed nudity to me is nothing more than an attempt to glorify a woman's body using a mans instincts to gain instant gratification and money for the poser and the administrator of the project. I t is just a sordid exercise showing the lack of depth in both the administrator and poser to produce nuditity, of what the real role of our humanity is. |

No Saffron, it was not boring...it became a mountain to climb. Hoss may be correct, by having sex when one is married means living up to the responsibilities of marriage. You accept the one and you have to accept the other. Don't really know if this is true in my case though, because I am always willing to accept responsibility for what has been given to me to look after.
Maybe I just dirrent have the right tools for it other than sex ;) |
