usually people judge our country havin' no clear view of it, i'll bet all of u have heard lots of bad things about Russia, therefore 2day i'm gonna speak about good things only)))
2 tell the truth, its not that easy 2 describe Russia in a few words, as its too large & each part needs its own individual description, thats why i'd like 2 start with general words...

Russia is the biggest state in the world (17,1 square kilometers). It occupies more territory than the whole South America or 2 Australia))
the most remarkable thing is that Russia's located in both Europe & Asia at the same time, this fact affected our culture & mentality as there r looooots of nationalities with their own religions, customs & traditions livin' in one country)

everybody thinks that its always cold in Russia, but its wrong as we also have winter & summer & enjoy all kinds of wether during the year)))
now just try 2 imagine how many different climatic areas r situated on the length of 9000 km from west 2 east & 4000 km from north 2 south!!!)))
there r 11 time zones in Russia so when Vladivostok wakes up Moscow is just goin' 2 bed)))

there r about 12 seas in Russia, some of them r cold but the rest is nice 2 swim in summer)))
there r long rivers that used 2 b the place of first settlements & now there lots of big cities & small towns streched their banks

Of course you didn't waste time posting..I am enjoying this so much too..I heard so much about Russia from dear people..I want to know more...I might be going at one point..so this is great!

yeah, all of a sudden I get this call to become a poet or an artist/painter (my teachers told me to develop that talent) instead of going to Wall Street :cry: :shock: Please do not make me change my career. I already sold my soul to capitalism
