Well everyone it is official, well according to BBC World News - a regular tipple cuts the risk of Rheumatoid Arthritis by up to half.
Now as I have both Rheumatoid and Osteo, does this mean than I can drink twice as much?
Day off work on Sunday so guess who will be having two Bailey's on Saturday night. :) |

Week from hell so guess who's having two vodkas tonight
Sorry that you have rheumatoid arthritis, Harrison  does the dry climate in Egypt help at all, or does it not make any difference? |

Good Morning Moll,
Yes the climate here makes a BIG difference. It is funny though I always know when the pressure is dropping because my hand gets particularly bad, as we Scots would say, it stoons, (throbs to the uninitiated).
Yes I quite agree Roughshod, too much alcohol is bad for the body, but my post was meant in a light hearted way.
Hedgehog - 5 glasses of wine a week - wow - I wish! When we moved apartments a friend gave us a bottle of imported wine, I had one glass with my Sunday lunch and felt tipsy. Guess I am just out of the drinking habit.
Everyone have a good day cos I absolutely hate working on Saturdays. |

LONG time since I've heard that word.....
There are some great words in Scottish that are hard to translate into English, some of my favourites are
sleekit
glaikit
numpty (not sure if that's Scottish though :? )
tumshie
and lots more I can't think of at the moment :(
I hate working on Saturdays too.... I only have to do it a couple of times a year when there's a school fair or something, but it just seems wrong to be there at the weekend
Is that why you moved to Egypt, because of the weather? |

It was a big factor in our decision Moll. That and the fact that hubby was of an age where jobs weren't that easy to find after being made redundant.
Daughters grown up, married etc and we thought that if we didn't do it then we never would.
Yes we have some wonderful words. One of the guys I work with really is a numpty or as I call him a 'neep'. He seems to think it is a compliment and smiles every time I say it!
Had a great relaxing day yesterday. Took the dog to the beach and of course he is now very brave and goes in for a swim - not too far from shore if I am not in the water. Gave him a shower in the afternoon but I am not sure who got wetter - me or him. :)
Sat and ready my Friday's Daily Mail, did the crossword etc. |
