| It was Friday yesterday, and I thought that all Egyptians have Friday off. So why weren't there more people posting here yesterday? :( |

saffron........it doesn't matter WHAT day of the week it is, there are no Egyptians posting here :cry:
I miss the Egyptians who used to post here, like BobBoss and Adoula and raymon, and I was hoping that when TE posted a while ago, maybe he'd hang around...but obviously not. I can't really blame them, to be honest I'd never bother posting on a board called YourScotland, if there even IS one :? and none of the topics here are even anything to do with Egypt any more, it's just basically a few people (mostly me and Roughshod) rambling on..
Maybe if there were some Egyptians posting here, it wouldn't be so quiet :cry: I don't necessarily want to talk about Egypt all the time, but it would just be nice to have some Egyptian input now and again. |

Yes it was Friday....but it does not work the same way as in the west....
If You watch TV beamed in from Saudi etc you will see from the programs the have Thursday and Friday as a 'weekend'
Here in Egypt many have just Friday off, but after prayers most shops and stalls are open and it is very busy as many Egyptians only get one day off. But some have Sunday off as well....I find that there are more shops and people taking Sunday off than Friday
So it is a bit complicated
Since I have been here I have a four day weekend....which I am getting used too... :D |

Maybe if someone submits this site to a search engine it would get more hits. But I'm not the owner so I don't know if I should take that liberty and do it. I submit my sites to all of the search engines. Lycos, Yahoo, google, and all of the rest. |
