Just wondering.....
After my kids go home the cleaner comes into my room at school and sometimes we talk while she's doing her thing and I'm doing mine, sometimes we don't bother and just get on with it
But today, she said 'who are you hoping will win tonight, mrs moll?'
So I thought      WTF's she talking about? then I realised it was the big footy match, Rangers v Fiorentina so I said Rangers, bcs they're the Scottish team 8) then she went into a big thing about injuries and their record in home games and the UEFA cup and other things, I really tried to look interested but it was hard
Maybe it's me, but I really couldn't care less :smt015
Do the many other people on this board think it's a bit strange for a woman to be interested in football? |

Well sort of, just so that I can sound like I have a clue tomorrow at school....
But God, the pressure on those players in a game like this........ |

Moll, I am trying to imagine a woman in the rangers other than your mind perhaps maybe about their 6 packs amongst other sought after body parts of a males anatomy that tittillate a womans mind
Would a Ranger's prowess at a physical game be able to stimulate a womans mind beyond mere thought of having a baby goal kicked out of her womb. This cleaner uses the game for her to win on another's competitiveness
Maybe it is symptom of hero worship to achieve what we ourselves hope to do within ourselves. But why does winning seem to be the only option of belief in a confrontary situation between what we hope to achieve and losing.
If I were in a situation where a lovely lady seemed to include me in her rather imaginative plans for the evening, but in order to do so, I would have to lose my own sense of self preservation...namely....pleasure is not worth the ideals one has to give up for it...or perhaps...were I to give up my ideals for pleasure, then the person who persuaded me to do that, has stripped me and now I am open to hypocricy if I continue believing in those ideals
It is all a dream of fantasy that notices our vulnerability to our own weaknesses...and supposedly to protect us from it we use the strength of our belief in others strength..because we all one you know. lol |

Haggis is disgusting
And Dunoon isn't that far away from me, haven't been there for years though....
Anyway on the news tonight, it was very depressing  apparently some Rangers supporters went mental in Manchester last night and went on the rampage after the big screen where they were watching it (those who couldn't get tickets) broke down and they couldn't see the game.. |

| What can one say..sex is like oxygen...you only miss it when it is no longer there. Rangers supporters seem to have their life support systems in the wrong place |

Well, Roughshod
I do not think this has anything to do with sex  but it has everything to do with people using football as an outlet for their aggression, fuelled by alcohol :( |

And unfortunately in Glasgow, football is also an outlet for sectarian/religious aggression  how bloody stupid can you get, making football a religious issue....
In the scottish Premier League there are usually only two main contenders, Rangers and Celtic. Traditionally if you're Protestant, you support Rangers and if you're Catholic, you support Celtic and although both teams have done a lot in the past few years to try and end the sectarianism, it's going to take generations to overcome the ingrained prejudices.
I am just rambling on here because I don't have to get up for work tomorrow and I am looking at 4 (four, oh God, FOUR) very beautiful days without kids 8) |

Sometimes I wonder if the Protestant/Catholic divide in Christianity is similar to the Sunni/Shi'ite divide in Islam :?
There are definitely some people in Scotland who are so bigoted against people who are nominally the same religion, I don't understand that at all. |
