Well. if music is food for the soul...bla bla bla. Maybe he forgot to say he was runnin g a brothel or something. (a man's heart is through his stomach)
However, I said I would cook the turkey for xmas dinner, and my mom looked at me like I was a labourer in the astronaut program saying he was going to plant a garden on the moon. So I have been practicing with pieces of chicken to see how to keep it moist with a well fried skin etc. tried different things. first boil it , then subject it to extreme heat. then tried subjectecting it to extreme heat while it was still defrosting, then boiling it to cook it properly etc. that last method seemed to work but only on small portions of chicken.
I am going to buy a deep iced turkey(the net says its the safest to buy). what reccomendations do you have to cook a roasted turkey in time to eat by 12 noon on xmas day? |

Not when you're cooking it, it's not
You can't really 'practise with pieces of chicken', it's not exactly the same thing........
if you're buying a frozen turkey, it has to be COMPLETELY defrosted or you're all going to end up ill, that's the most important thing. And it depends on the weight how long you have to cook it for 8) |

You right Moll, in order to defrost one in the fridge which is safest, with only 3 days to xmas, I suppose I would have to cook about a 7 pound one..it should defrost today and tomorrow...hmm its only 2 days left I will nuke the damn thing with a microwave.and try to not leave a window of more than bacteria heaven temperature to make it unsafe. (actually I have left a chicken that already thawed overnight at room temperature and then cooking it without any noticeable result in deteriotion of my health..though perhaps my mental state of mind was affected ...who knows anyway
) |

On the other hand, these english people that shoot pheasant and allow them to mature in the heat of the sun without freezing them most probabably gave rise to the term that the english are a tad eccentric...and they still survive ...amazing isn't it. |
