Well, I don't feel like going to a bar tonight and meeting people all trying to do the same as me so I thought I would rather come here and see if you can make sense of it.

I was busy building a power supply for a friend and had trouble with it that seemed to remind me of my life. One uses a reference that is a fixed solid almost unasailable that is used as a measurement to measure an output that is under constant different variables to change and these changes are measured against the reference to control them by various means to stay constant. it usually works very well. if the output drops because of loading the difference is noted between the reference and the output and circuitry acts accordingly to supply more current to make up for the difference. but I found that the source of the power to all this circuitry was not able to supply the energy needs at stages.

And it made me think...my God is that reference that allows me to evaluate who I should be. I am the circuitry that does the modification to allow the output of my life to be stable and consistent against that reference. so who supplies me with the energy to stop having outages when I run out of resources. I thought my reference would also be up to supplying the resources to make itself relevant.

My question is this, is what or who you believe in able to give you the resources to enable you to continue to believe in what you believe in?

Yes, it always works for me too

So strange here just now.............so quiet, it's kind of ghostly

I was just about to post in the topic about the British teacher, but you know something..........I've decided I do NOT want to post in any topic where there is any reference whatsoever to religion or politics.

So, Roughshod.........my point of reference is me and my conscience, it has taken me many long years to work that out.

Moll, it seems you have lost your need to try and upgrade a learned reference from the history of your past , in favour of making a new reference using the reference of you past as a guideline to what you would like to change in your future then.

my reference has been religion, but I have fallen totally out of love with it, but neither do I love the freedom with which people express their basic selves either.

Honestly, I don't have a clue what you're on about :?

But at least you're asking the questions, and not either sitting there all complacent thinking you've got all the answers, or ranting and raving like you've got a hotline to God...

I feel pretty cynical and disillusioned about religion at the moment, too.

As you know, Ayisha.........I have a very sweet singing voice :smt034

Just today, I was singing along with the kids in school, and they were smiling at me, some were even laughing out loud...........the joy of hearing me sing does that to people, I've found.

Are there any special requests?

Ayisha, I've just had a lightbulb moment too  I was in the bath, and as you know that's my thinking time......and I have come up with a way to combine my sweet voice with a way of saying 'thank you' to the people of Luxor for all the happy times I've spent there 8)

I AM GOING TO HOLD A FREE CONCERT NEXT TIME i'M IN LUXOR

Yes, you read it right........a FREE concert, I will not charge a penny. What do you think, ayisha? 8)

Oooohhh Moll a FREE concert!! :smt038

You could hold it at the back of Luxor Temple, thats where they do them now you know, now its a 'poshed up' round there.

Me, shareen and a lady from an unmentionable board were shopping one evening and popped out from the souk right there at the back of the temple, you know how you do, well there was all these crowds of people and music and stuff! :smt035 we were like  whats going off here? It was a concert by someone famous  wasnt Amr Diab or Muhammed Mounir though :( But you could do it there :smt034
