Well :)
Unfortunately for some :wink: I have developed a compulsive disorder since moving to Cape Town
... I have a great need to tell everyone how happy I am to live in the most beautiful city in the world :sunny:
:) So ... I live high up the slope of a mountain in Cape Town and have an unobstructed 180 degrees view over land,sportfields, the Atlantic Ocean and Robben island
I can see the entrance to the Waterfront and the Commercial harbour
This is a very busy waterway called Table Bay
when the huge freighters arrive they have to wait for the customs to clear them before entering the harbour
(these 2 photos are taken from my bedroom :? strange ....my bedroom curtains are cream so dunno what happened to the colour here ? :roll: Maybe it was because I had the lights turned off and it was a long exposure ? :?
Often its a race between the ships, steaming full power ahead, to arrive at the (imaginary) line where they have to wait to be cleared with customs , then they wait right before me
Yesterday I saw the freighter which has my Seafreight from Spain on board :D
This is another thing I can see
the construction of the new stadium where 9 matches of the Soccer/FootballWorldcup 2010 will be played
and last but not least 8) This was the sunset this evening as seen from my terrace

Every evening I look forward to the sunset
I have seen absolutely jawdropping ones
and especially in the weekends, people who live around me
come out on to their terraces and balconies, drinks in hand, often with guests/friends to watch it
Today I was at the back side of Tablemountain
and when the sun sets
this is all you can see :arrow:
the pointy mountain on the right is called DevilsPeak
the mountain on the left is the back of TableMountain
but I could see that it was going to be a beautiful sunset over the sea again
by the time I arrived at home, the show was almost finnished
but still managed to grap these :arrow:
The biggest surprise to me has been the winter weather here
I never expected it to be this good !
Ever since I am back the weather has been incredible
apart from the odd horizontal rainy day
its been wall to wall sunshine with temperatures of around
19° or 20°
