In the first one, it is required to know the length of side "x" of the triangle, so that smart one who answered just pointed at the letter "x" and not actually deduced the value of "x"
In the second one one has to expand the formula to be like :
(a^n) + (b^n) but the smart one answering just crossed the plus sign! :?
1/n * sin x : that one is funny...the blondie just crossed the two "n"s together, as if "sin" was some kind of 3 letters multiplied by each other
In the last one, the boy thought that is the " infinity" answer comes by rotating the "8", so he also rotated the "5" to be the result  |

OK, the first one is stupid
But I think the other answers are all quite logical....

I did maths in school, but when I did advanced technical education after school, I was introduced to calculus, it was sooooo out of the ordinary that I barely passed my first years course, so I took night classes in advance of my second years course in order to understand it better before I did it for 'real'.
I finally seemed to grasp the concept of it and never had to do it in my second year because I had passed it in my night classes
Then I decided to do a degree through unisa(a correspondance degree) and lo and behold, the dreaded calculus came up again and suddenly for some reason I could not remember anything I had learnt about calculus, even though I had understood its application in everyday mathematics as quite a powerfull tool. so I gave up :(
I suffer from some kind of memory loss, but that loss was the most dissapointing ever, I wish I could lose that memory |
