i'm passing very bad days, as you may know my life was full of waiting days before getting married, with so much drama i moved to Egypt, but i never told you that drama is still with me, as an Iranian my life in Egypt seems not to get normal, every year they give me one damn year visa, this visa needs several visit to mogama (if you know where it is) and interviews with security and police to see what i am doing (maybe i am a spy!) or i am a bloody shia' want to make revolution!
with all these we are trying to live our life but i need to have my family around, with Egyptian law they don't let any male Iranian comes to Egypt easily so my brother couldn't see my son till now, we tried so hard last year and made my mom's a visa which she just could stay for one month, i was almost delivering my baby that she came (plus 3 hours waiting in the airport to check her visa and letting her enter Egypt), god knows how much i was in pressure and needed her by my side,
but this year again, i applied from January so she can at least come and enjoy her grandchild's birthday, after all these waiting and then again having interviewed by security and police still there is no news of her visa, my poor husband has been visiting mogama twice a week, i just want to go and scream there! i don't know what to do, if i knew life gonna be this much difficult that i cannot even bring my mother here i never would come here in first place, what should i do so that Egyptian government accept me?! why two countries don't think about a normal relationship, i really want to talk to somebody in the government, cause our life here is just waiting to see when i get a visa, when i can see my family, waiting waiting and bloody waiting,...........
sorry guys i am just so *beep* off with the whole story i needed to write something, even in uk with all that securities, they never refused giving visa to my parents, but here is just too much,
Hope God gives me patience..................... |

| Your situation sounds really stressful, Eastern girl. Do you think it could be all this paranoia about terrorism that has caused alot of these difficulties? Everybody on YE will be wishing you freedom from all these stresses and bureaucratic obstacles, just as I do. |

I never knew such difficulties existed for Iranians to visit Egypt! There is an Iranian colleague of Turkish decent who has been visiting my company brance several times without any hassle...Maybe it's because he comes on short visits..I never really asked him if he had any difficulties at the Airport...
I don't know if there is anything that can change the situation with you EG, but I will sure ask some people I know...
Cheers, |

Hope things are working out for you, eg :smt056
I don't know why the authorities have to be so bloody stupid, making problems for ordinary people instead of concentrating on the REAL problems in society (that's not just Egypt, that's everywhere  ) |

Bureoucrazy is supported by minor people ppl put in strong positions . Can you imagine a humanitarian being some kind of visa official?????????/ Or Attila the hun becoming a missionary?
I tell you, the kind of ppl that can look past your needs in favour of earning a salary to do a job for the government must be at the bottom of the food line, in fact nobody wants to eat them because they already lower than shark *beep* (eaten already by the government they serve) |
