Thank you very much for these photos! They reminded me of my visit to Egypt and made me want very much to go again!

The traffic photos show me that nothing has improved! I could almost hear the honking of the horns and yelling of curses as drivers tried to make their way home. :lol:

It is interesting that, when I think of Egypt, I think of sounds more than I think of monuments, temples or tombs. I remember the noise of traffic and the calls to prayer. I remember the noises of the Cairo camel market and the singing of the young boys who sailed in their small fellucas on the river at Aswan. I remember the happy songs of the women who were calling to one another when they surrounded us as they were on their way to a wedding! They were laughing and smiling at us and we all walked together down the street! I think that groups of women can understand each other without words, in any country in the world.

We liked the Egyptian people very much! I especially liked the beautiful children with their dark eyes and big smiles. I will always have the best wishes for the kind, friendly people we met there!
