| Interesting question, KayCee! That child might be surprised at how often this adult thinks fondly of the games she played! That child would be amazed to know how many countries around the world this adult has visited. SHE WOULD LAUGH BECAUSE SHE WAS RIGHT WHEN SHE PREDICTED I WOULD NEVER ACTUALLY USE THE ALGEBRA SHE STRUGGLED SO HARD TO LEARN! |

Then child I was would point a finger at me and say I have desecrated the hope I had when I was young and pure. He would say, you envisioned for yourself naively yet with a heart full of hope, that you would never hurt anyone, that you would use your skills to help others out, without expecting payment, You would honour the code of doing right in the face of those who could not understand it. The child I was had faith in love, had faith in the basic goodness of others. The basic child I was never had to understand anything different, I actually believed it.
The child is still within me, and now I fight to keep it alive, because the child in me is all that seems to give value to life |

Good question, KayCee......
I think in some ways the child I was wouldn't recognise me....but in some ways, I still feel like that child :? |
