CAIRO, March 3 An Egyptian official demanded an investigation into a report that 250 Egyptian prisoners of war were killed by Israeli special forces in 1967.

Edward Rali, head of the Egyptian parliament's Committee for Human Rights, said charges made in the documentary on Channel 1, which said the prisoners were killed near the end of the Six Day War, represents a serious violation of human rights and international law, The Jerusalem Post reported. Rali called for an urgent meeting of his committee meeting on Sunday to discuss the documentary Ruah Shaked, or the spirit of Shaked, the Post reported. The Channel 1 report said that the Sayeret Shaked special forces unit was under the command of Ben Eliezer, who is currently Israel's infrastructure's minister. Eliezer told an Egyptian newspaper the report was inaccurate and that the dead were Palestinians killed in battle, the Post reported.

Foreign Affairs Committee head Mustafa al-Faki, denounced the alleged massacre of helpless Egyptian soldiers, saying Israeli hands are drenched in the blood of Egyptian prisoners, the Post reported.

Hi,

They should look at these reports, and bring these to justice!

I also hope that Egypt looks at it's own reports regarding their very own 'refugee camps' in which they held Palestinian civilians from the Gaza strip- many were forcibly conscripted into the Egyptian army and scores of Palestinian children died from malnutrition!

ALL SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR CRIMES COMMITTED DURING THESE YEARS :evil:

I agree with you..definetely whoever committed a crime should be brought in and tried out..There should be no exceptions...But I never heard of the Palestinian authority bringing about such an issue to the attention of the Egyptian authorities!
I am just wondering, what are your sources about the Palestinian "Refugee camps" in Egypt ? I never heard of this story or even the conscirption of Palestinians into the Egyptian army!
For your own knowledge, did you know that Egypt has fought a war with the Palestinians against the Zionist armed Gangs which were formed and operated under protection of the British Army?

I'm not completely surprised you have never heard of it. The Arab world censors many things. There was a deafening silence from the Arab world about what happened in some of my family's homeland (Algeria) too in the early 1990s .

Sorry, but the Arab world and it's selective 'deafness' really winds me up!

Sorry to seem like having a go at you, Hoss. I just get tetchy when I see 'Israel did this, and Israel did that in year so and so' repeatedly brought up on this board, and also the age old 'Look what the British did too!" when the Arab world acts like butter wouldn't melt in it's mouth. We only see half the truth on here, so I try to balance it out

Sure ALL should be brought to justice, especially these Zionist ******* but like the saying goes 'People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones'

I just feel that if it was another Arab or Muslim country that had taken over Palestine instead of Jews, we wouldn't hear a murmer about it on here.

PPS- As for sources, most are personal accounts I have read- one good book is 'Prisoners of God' will find out the author- it's a very unbiased book.

You'll be trawling the internet forever using searchwords 'Nasser' 'Palestinians' and 'refugees' although there are sources there, somewhere. :lol:
