There was a clue in today's (Saturday) general knowledge crossword: Compilation album by US singer EVA CASSIDY, released in 1998, two years after her death. I searched on the internet for the answer which was SONGBIRD. I wanted to know why she had died and what her music sounded like and so I found this link here.

I thought that some of you might appreciate her music. She was a talented singer and her arrangements were good. It is sad that she died aged only 33. |

I have the CD of Eva Cassidy's music (in Spain)
Her voice is christal clear Its so beautiful,to me its laden with emotion
I had never heard of her before but my sister had requested a song she wanted us to listen to when we said farewell to her for the last time end December 2003
She choose "Over the Rainbow"
While I listened to that beautiful voice of Eva Cassidy I looked through the floor to ceiling windows when suddenly a whole flock of dove's flew by and disappeared high in the sky as if they carried her soul on their wings to heaven
It was such an unusual sight at the exact moment that my sister left us we all commented on how moving it was and how comforting too
How strange ( to me )that you should post this Explorer now when
I just got a question in a PM a day ago about my sister and haven't answered it
I did not know what to say :(
I dont like talking about this unless it is with people who knew her
I suppose this will do
Somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high
There's a land that I heard of
Once in a lullaby
Somewhere over the rainbow
Skies are blue
And the dreams that you dare to dream
Really do come true
Some day I'll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far behind me
Where troubles melt like lemondrops
Away above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me
Somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly
Birds fly over the rainbow
Why then, oh why can't I?
Some day I'll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far behind me
Where troubles melt like lemondrops
Away above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me
Somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly
Birds fly over the rainbow
Why then, oh why can't I?
If happy little bluebirds fly
Beyond the rainbow
Why, oh why can't I? |
