The above saying gave me a lot of material to think about.
OK...why we need other people? Why we need intimite relationships, although we need to feel independent??
Do we need others particularly when life is difficult??
I know that the answer will be - we can not live without these intimate relationships, but my question is why?? |

well Adoula, and to whoever too ...
i guess when we have this intimate relationship , tht means we have someone who belongs to us, i mean both parteners in this relationship have much obligations for each other tht is different to those with even bestfriends!
we all have friends, males and females, we have bestfriends, but we will always like to have special ONE ... only ONE!... tht u share with nobody else!.. something unique!
also we need tht only one most of the times to feel appreciated and feel worthy... someone misses u like no other one when u r away from him/her!..... someone u really beleive when he tell u something good about urself!. simply because he/ she loved u for tht thing!... loves u as you are!
someone u can have a friend for life... but u never think to live with him.. but when coming to ur intimates loved one... u only wanna stay with tht special someone all ur days in one place!
we need tht someone also to count on and trust in fully, and finally to share everything with !
i guess its more than tht!... but we all need this someone in a way or another! :roll: |

Some people seem to be able to go through life without needing other people, without needing any kind of 'intimate relationships', I can think of a few people I work with who don't seem to have ever had that kind of relationship in their lives........
But I think they're a bit sad :cry: Maybe they've never had the lows of relationships that don't work out, but they've never had the highs either, and I don't think you're really living if you don't open yourself up to that, if you don't take the gamble of letting someone else into your life in that way, if you just play safe all the time and keep other people at a distance....they obviously DON'T need it, and maybe in some ways they're better off that way, but it wouldn't do for me..
Anyway I think I'm in a kind of rambling mood tonight :-k |
