The city is quiet and peaceful and has a remarkable sort of
tribal life, though everything is changing now. Seawaters are
so clear and unpolluted though their purity is interrupted by
vexing jellyfish.
The main thoroughfare is called "23 July" and you'd
probably find much of the services concentrated there. El-Arish
is the capital of north Sinai.
